Sharing authentic stories at
the intersection of the Gospel
and where life is lived.
Little City Journal is an online publication written, photographed, and curated by young women. As we love and serve in our communities and engage in our world, we’ve established this space for storytelling, situated at the intersection of the Gospel and where our lives are lived.
Underneath their captivating roles, their beautiful music, their attractive faces, their sparkling social media personalities, their well-written books, and their compelling speeches, they are sinful, battered human beings just like the rest of us.
Adam and Eve, Ananias and Sapphira, sinned against the Lord together. They led each other away from God, toward their own ideals of what was good and desirable. It’s a somber warning, yet not without hope.
Stories from Six Feet also fosters a sense of connection, both for those who spend an afternoon with Angela and for those of us who are seeing the posts on an Instagram feed.
It’s ok if we don’t have the words. It’s okay if we feel numb, shocked out of all emotions except anxiety in times such as these. God meets us there.
But as it were, they are indications of my lack of trust that the God who said, “blessed are the meek” rules this world; and more than that, my lack of trust in God’s promise that the meek “shall inherit the earth.”
We exist to share real stories of Christ-following women that open the door for vulnerable conversation, authentic community, and social engagement.
My hope and prayer is that we can be a world that can still love across closed borders, across oceans, across different nationalities, that we not let our fears keep us from seeing the eyes of our brothers and sisters behind the mask.
