Fight With Faith.
Anxiety.
Something that many people face but lack the strength to fight. It’s either constant or in waves, and it takes over your whole being. It brings on its own attacks that make one feel as if they can’t breathe and will never be enough or reach a breakthrough. It’s dark, scary and overwhelming. This is a lot of peoples' reality, and if you are reading know that you are not alone in your fight, and I pray that you know your breakthrough is right around the corner.I have always battled anxiety and recently it was intense. For about two months the enemy used this weakness to bring forth many spiritual attacks. My flesh was vulnerable and the enemy knew this. There were days that consisted of me crying myself to sleep and other days I lacked the ability to get out of bed because my body was full of fear. I lacked motivation to open my bible and press into God. I barley had the strength to pray or the longing to listen to worship music. In the times when I was so clouded in anxiety and couldn’t see God, I knew that was when I had to press in the most. I had to battle the enemy with faith and faith alone. Yes, I have amazing friends who supported me through it all but only Jesus could fill the void in my heart with love and healing.Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. What a beautiful name that holds more power than we could ever imagine. He met me right where I was at, in the midst of the sea. He began to speak to me in brand new ways. I was given a breath of fresh air that could only come down from Heaven. As I pressed into God and read His Word I felt called to write and share for anyone who may be in need to hear God.“You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness" (1 Thessalonians 5:5 NIV).He is the Light in the darkness. We are His children. His very Word says that we do not belong to the night or darkness. Do not let it capture you! Instead put on the full armor of God and fight against the darkness in faith. Trust in He who never fails.“But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet" (1 Thessalonians 5:8 NIV).His Word tells us not to fear 365 times, once for each day of the year- and that is no coincidence. When anxiety comes creeping in the only way out is to press into Him and His word. We have no reason to fear with Jesus on our side. He is the first to enter the battle we face and the last to leave it. He is right beside us. Equipping us for the battle being faced. Making us unshakable like steel and as strong as a concrete block (Jerimiah 1: 18-19 MSG).
“Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.But you have planted wickedness, you have reaped evil, you have eaten the fruit of deception. Because you have depended on your own strength and on your many warriors" (Hosea 10:12-13).
So, don’t sow the lies of the enemy. Don’t fall into his deceit. Stop relying on your own strength because no one can make it through on their own. Instead sow His righteousness. Plow through, digging into the Word of God and knowing His promises and truths laid out before you. Always pray and cry out to him and you WILL reap His unfailing love as it is promised to you.Friend, Jesus loves you so much and wants to bring you out of the darkness and into His light. His love is so big and beautiful. It is more than anyone or anything in this world could offer you. Jesus leads us in love that is gentle and kind. Seek Him.
“Consume me, Lord
Take all of me
I'm on my own, cause I am Yours
Consume me, Lord
Take all of me
I'm on my own, cause I am Yours”
